G’day to you from Sydney, Australia. We are in the middle of winter 'down under’ and this is my first time to experience the cold weather in Australia for about 20 years.
I have just returned from the USA after a two month break from performing. I took time to have a vacation to visit places I had never been before such as Utah, Wyoming, Montana, Sth. Dakota and Colorado. The scenery was beautiful and visiting places like Yellowstone National Park, Jackson Hole, Cody, Custer’s Last Stand, Mt. Rushmore, Cheyenne, Fort Laramie and so many other places was a dream come true for me. The remainder of my time during this visit was mainly packing up and finishing off some business matters in Nashville and Branson.
I first visited the United States in 1984 and I knew then that I wanted to pursue my lifelong dream of entertaining the American audiences. I feel that I have achieved that goal in my career and I hope that my CD’s will continue to bring enjoyment into your homes for many years to come.
My recordings will be available through my USA International Fan Club. You can download an order form for the USA from this website. Jane Beste in Wausau, Wisconsin is my USA Fan Club President. My latest CD is entitled ‘Songs Of Praise’, featuring 12 gospel songs and hymns.
As 2009 was my final performing season in America it was sad to say goodbye to so many friends and fans. I plan on spending more time back home in Australia in future years, visiting with my family while continuing to entertain the Aussie audiences, with some New Zealand visits included. I want to assure all my American fans that I won’t forget them and will continue to keep in touch through the website and the Fan Club Newsletters.
I am now back home in Sydney and about to start work again with plenty of things planned for the rest of the year. I am hoping to record a new album sometime during September.
I fly to New Zealand in October for some concerts and then I will be busy in November and December touring Victoria and South Australia with the Howie Bros. Band.
