NASHVILLE MEMORIES

"On my first visit to the United States in 1984, of course I went to Nashville. And being in Nashville and coming all the way from Australia, it was a great thrill to visit the Country Music Capital of the World."

Wayne with guitarist and record producer, Mark Thornton of Nashville. They are pictured here at Kentucky Down Under near Horse Cave, Kentucky.

Wayne performs at this Australian-themed park once a year, but visitors can see the kangaroos, kookaburras, cockatoos, dingos and other animals throughout KDU's operating season. It's a little taste of Australia in the heart of Kentucky.
The Outback Band pictured prior to a Wayne Horsburgh Show at Barberton, Ohio, in 1995. Danny, Mark, Trent and Tobi were all of Nashville and toured with Wayne for two USA summer seasons.
Wayne with Janie Fricke in 1998, at Nashville's Fan Fair (the largest country music festival in the world).

Wayne first represented Australia here in 1991 when he performed on the main stage on the International Show.

Wayne then maintained a booth each year — signing autographs for thousands of country music fans — for the next 15 years.
